CAMBR Chips CAMBR has developed high-performance chips for government and industry. CAMBR’s radiation-tolerant, low-power chips are used in spacecraft, primarily on NASA missions. Over 25 CAMBR chips have flown in space. Others have also used VLSI technology developed by CAMBR under licensing agreements, to develop specialized chips. Some of CAMBR’s chips are available for purchase through ICs, Inc. For more information on availability, contact ICs at 208-755-8990. Click here for the ICs Web Site. Here are our links to some of our completed chips.
Error Correction ChipsWorking closely with NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, CAMBR has developed several chips to implement error correction on spacecraft communication channels. Error correction encoders insert a small amount of redundancy into a data stream before it is transmitted. Error decoders examine the received data stream, and exploit the redundancy to detect and correct errors that have occurred in transmission. · Return to top . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Data Compression and Transform Chips:Data compression is a very powerful means to maximize the use of spacecraft resources such as power and communication capacity. Lossless data compression permits a compressed signal or image to be reconstructed exactly, with no loss of information. · Return to top . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Ultra Low-Power-TechnologyCAMBR has implemented the following chips in the Ultra-Low-Power Process. These chips exhibit up to a two order of magnitude reduction in power consumption over standard processes. · Return to top . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
